A3D Process

3D Scan

Whether you’ve already got your own scan or prefer the convenience of onsite scanning, we’ve got you covered. To ensure the best results, we ask that you provide a photo and some detailed info about the object beforehand. If you’d rather have us come to you, our onsite scanning services are available to make the process even easier.

And if you’re looking to take things a step further, we also offer hands-on training for 3D scanning techniques. That way, you can learn how to handle your own scanning projects with confidence and precision.

Collaborative Layout Design

Our collaborative design process begins with the 3D scan of your object. Using a combination of 2D markups, reference photos, and 3D modeling software, we develop an initial design draft that aligns with your goals. We incorporate your feedback at every stage to refine the design. Once the design is finalized, we prepare the CAD model for your approval before moving forward to CNC milling.

Engineering Design

Following the initial design meeting, our engineers will transform your concept into a finalized CAD model for your approval.  If a change or modification needs to be made, we can handle those at no additional charge. Further design changes will have an additional charge.

CNC Machining

Our custom CNC router was specifically modified by ARTFIT 3D to allow us to work with foam and also coroplast sheets. It allows us to not only create custom archival foam cavities, but also foam braces, mounts and coroplast cases. We are also able to cut MDO board for use as guillotines in crates.
