A3D Process
3D Scanning
It starts with a 3D scan and at least 4 photos(front, back, left, right) of your object. The photos are used incase we need to verify details of the scan.
If you need help getting started with 3D scanning ARTFIT 3D clients will have access to online guides and videos. If more in depth training is required you can attend one of our in person or remote Scan Camps. Guides, videos and training will be updated as needed to stay current with the ever changing 3D world.
Layout Drawing
Layout drawing uses the colors and symbols we’ve developed to help you communicate with our design team. Any 2D drawing app on any platform can be used. Using our Markup Guide and information from a condition report you’ll be able to tell our team what areas should have no foam contact and which areas might need extra attention. Marking up screenshots of your object from a 3D viewer will give us the information we need to get started on your project.
Client Portal
Using our custom designed client portal built with enterprise grade security and privacy protocols is how you’ll stay in touch with us. From the start of your project until the final delivery everything about your project will be here for you. This will be the place to start new projects, upload files, schedule meetings or communicate with your project manager.
Engineering Design
Once our engineers have received your files they can begin work on your design. Using our patent pending design process and software we will take your scan and layout drawings and create a design to submit for your approval. If further information or discussion is needed it can be handled through our portal. After the approval process is completed we will begin manufacturing.
CNC Machining
Our custom CNC router was specifically modified by ARTFIT 3D to allow us to work with foam and also coroplast sheets. It allows us to not only create custom archival foam cavities, but also foam braces, mounts and coroplast cases. We are also able to cut MDO board for use as guillotines in crates.
